Planted in the 1960's by Louis Chamfort this vineyard is 50% Grenache and 50% Mourvedre. Aged for 2 years in barriques before bottling. Limited to 1600 bottles. A plush, rich wine, offering a concentrated black cherry and raisin fruit profile, with heady notes of pepper and thyme. The tannins are firm but fine, providing a long, linear finish. Drink with strongly flavoured red meats such as venison, or mature hard cheeses.
