Sergio Barale Organic Barolo 'Bussia'

The nose is deep, it has a brooding ripeness, a mix of wild cherry, plum with bits of smoke and rose hips, just scintillating. On the palate the wine has a richly textured presence where waves of supple warmth and layers of fruit flow across your tongue. A broad, expansive palate presence where the complexity builds and the wine flows toward a long, vibrant finish. This is real Bussia vineyard Barolo, complex, dense yet in the warmth of this vintage the wine has a luscious open fullness and is really drinkable, I’d still decant it for an hour, but this is a sensational wine.
