Willems Willems 'Altenberg' Kabinett Riesling

The crown jewel of the Altenberg vineyard is a small site located beneath a small vineyard chapel. The roots of our vines, many upwards of 70 years old, grow deep into the steep slate slopes and the result is tiny, extremely mineral-packed berries. Small yields (20 hl/ha), slow spontaneous fermentation, and plenty of patience are the keys to our Saar Riesling's full-bodied complexity: a very special wine from a very special place.
