Hazana
Hazaña refers to the illustrious deeds and exploits of Spanish literary heroes such as Rodrigo Diaz de Vivar, who inspired the poem Cantar del mio Cid. The philosophy behind these wines, our own present-day Hazañas, is simple: produce modern-styled wines of intense fruit and concentration without losing the hallmark personality of Rioja. As such all the wines display fantastic deep colour, superb berry fruit, and controlled toast and vanilla oak character. The wines are made in the Rioja Alta region and the winery's labyrinthine of tunnels, carved into the mountainside patiently store 6,000 casks for the distingushed crianza and reserva wines before they enter bottle.
