Bolognani
Diego Bolognani is a self-taught winemaker who has come to be at home with advanced technology. He makes wines with passion and skill, and is one of the most knowledgeable, committed, and respected winemakers in the Trentino Region.
Bolognani are a family-run firm (managed by siblings Diego, Sergio, Renzo and Lucia), which they have grown with the tenacious support of their mother, Armida. The business started in their historic facilities (which are still in use) back in 1952, when their father Nilo purchased them; while the facilities themselves (which always had their own cellar) were built in the late nineteenth-early twentieth century.
They create mostly white wines using grapes grown in the hills around Lavis, Val di Cembra and Trento. With the 2000 and 2004 vintages, They create, the exclusive “Cru”: Gabàn and Sanròc, respectively.
